What happens if I install the new version of the Dropbox desktop application?

Use the Search Bar Sign in to your Dropbox account on the website Find the search bar at the top of the page and enter some keywords related to the missing files. Locate the log entry for the deletion of your files or folder Next click the three dots beside your missing files Then click the Restore button. Drop off packages up to a maximum size of 16in. Note: High value and hazardous material shipment restrictions apply. All UPS service levels are accepted at UPS Drop Box locations. Access UPS Drop Boxes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Get later pickup times than with your regularly scheduled pickup. From now on, whenever you open the Dropbox folder in Finder or File Explorer (or click on the Dropbox icon in your taskbar or menu bar), you will see your Dropbox files as if they were in an ordinary folder. Unchecking the Enable Finder integration option does far more than remove the Dropbox icon from the Finder's toolbar, which was the request in the original question. It disables Dropbox sync status icons from appearing next to files and folders, and removes the contextual menu items for sharing links via Dropbox or opening files directly on.

The new version of the Dropbox desktop application gives you the option to disable the Finder integration. Disabling this integration means that you won’t be able to get sync status icons next to your files, or access Dropbox menu options by right-clicking on files. The sync status of your files and folders will no longer be reflected in Finder, though as always you’ll be able to see these changes in the Dropbox website after you sign in the Dropbox mobile app.

How do I create shared links without being able to right-click on files on my desktop?
